A. If a licensing authority suspends the processing of renewal applications for licensure, permitting, certification or registration:
1. All current licenses, permits, certificates and registrations that were previously issued by that licensing authority are extended through the suspension period.
2. During the suspension period, the renewal fee for current licensees, permittees, certificate holders and registrants is waived.
b. For the purposes of this section, "licensing authority":
1. Means any agency, department, board or commission of this state that issues a license, permit, certificate or registration pursuant to this title to an individual who provides a service to any person.
2. Does not mean:
(a) An entity that issues licenses pursuant to chapter 40 of this title.
(b) A health profession regulatory board as defined in section 32-3201.
