Senator Flavio Bravo represents LD 26 which includes Phoenix and Glendale within Maricopa County. He is a fifth-generation Arizonan and third-generation Mexican-American, born and raised in the 26th district. During his time at the legislature, Bravo has worked across the aisle in a bipartisan fashion and remains focused on issues most important to his constituents, such as making housing more affordable and expanding education and job opportunities across Arizona. Bravo’s involvement in the community began as early as high school when he pursued his passion for volunteering and helping others, and was recognized as the Outstanding Young Man of the Year by the City of Phoenix. Upon graduating from Brophy College Preparatory, Bravo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University Chicago in Philosophy and Political Science, where he served as student body president. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Migration Studies from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Bravo is also an alumni of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and Valle del Sol’s Hispanic Leadership Institute. Today, he lends his knowledge and expertise serving as the West Region Chair for the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators and on the Board of Directors for Open Hearts Family Wellness in Central Phoenix and the Kino Border Initiative in Southern Arizona and as a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona. Bravo and his wife Lizbeth reside in west Phoenix, and welcomed their newborn son on opening day of the 57th legislative session. |
