Paul Boyer is a high school teacher and state senator in district 20, which includes much of Glendale and North Phoenix. He is in his fifth full year teaching high school literature and history.

He has served as the House Education Committee chairman for the last four years.

He holds a B.A. in English from A.S.U. West and a M.A. in Communication Studies from A.S.U. West.

Previously, he was an official spokesman and policy advisor for House Majority at the State Capitol for three years, the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper at A.S.U. West, the legislative liaison for the Arizona Department of Corrections, and a spokesman for Mesa Public Schools, the largest school district in the state.

He is married to Elizabeth. They have a beautiful baby boy and a Yorkie Terrier named Mr. Bingley.
