She represents Navajo County at the USWFS meetings on the Expansion of the Mexican Wolf. She also supports the REAL AZ Economic Regional planning and the Natural Resource Working Group, focused on forest industries and health. George Washington Academy. In 2014 Sylvia and her friend Dr. Kathleen Danielson started a charter school in Snowflake, Arizona through EDKey Inc . Sylvia's responsibility the first year was to run the administration operations of the small school. Sylvia taught the "Golden Rule" character program at GWA. Sylvia developed curriculum, K-8th grades for her character traits taught each month. She wrote and directed the Patriotic musical program to be performed by the students in the spring. She has 25 years of experience serving within the political arena from being a precinct committeeman to serving 5 years as Navajo County Republican Chairman. 2022 she was elected as Member At Large CD1 for the State Republican Party and as Treasurer of the Navajo County Republican Committee. Her passion has been to work with grassroots organizations that encourage citizen involvement. This has given her experience in many aspects of the political process and how government functions. 1992-2000, Southwest Field Director, People for the West/USA 2003, Desert Southwest Coordinator Project Protect 2000-04, President of Freedom for America League 2003-06, Board Member, Mogollon Medical Foundation 1993-06, She started a youth group the PFW Players using drama and music to tell the PFW/USA message. She wrote and directed the play "Freedom Lights the Way." They performed all over the western states and in Washington DC for the Fly In for Freedom Conference "I always wanted to educate our young people about the founding principles of this nation. Over a hundred young people from Navajo County have been in the group. It has been the most rewarding thing I have done." 2005-2008 Sylvia became a Real Estate Agent and worked for Integrity Realty and Assoc LLC. She has had articles published in the Pine Graphic, Pioneer Newspaper, People for the West/USA Newspaper, and ECO.Logic Powerhouse. Born in Arizona with family roots in the White Mountains since 1876. She is a resident of Snowflake. Married to Richard Allen, they have 5 married children and 19 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. Over the years Rick and Sylvia have been small businesses owners. This has given Sylvia experience in all the bookkeeping aspects of running a business. |
