appropriation; Gillespie Canal bridge project
Purpose
Appropriates $4,000,000 from the state General Fund (state GF) in FY 2021 to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) to replace the Gillespie Canal Bridge.
Background
ADOT is responsible for the design and construction of state public transportation systems and the maintenance and operation of state highways in Arizona (A.R.S. § 28-332).
Gillespie Canal Bridge is located west of the Town of Gila Bend along U.S. Interstate 8.
S.B. 1107 appropriates $4,000,000 from the state GF in FY 2021.
Provisions
1. Appropriates $4,000,000 from the state GF in FY 2021 to ADOT for the purpose of replacing the Gillespie Canal Bridge.
2. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
