Rick Gray was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and this Midwestern upbringing is where he learned his passions for hard work and real family values.
While being a husband and raising four children, Rick finished his education and opened his own business which he owned for twenty years. During this time, he taught local classes and spent some time selling real estate.
After visiting Arizona with his wife, Lisa, Rick fell in love with the state and moved there. After setting his roots down in Arizona, he started another business in the North Phoenix area, and began to actively volunteer in the community.
Rick served in the Arizona House of Representatives, representing LD 21, from 2013 to 2017. While in the House he served as the Majority Whip, Chair of Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Vice Chair of the Rules Committee, and Vice Chair of the Commerce Committee. After a brief break from politics, Rick was appointed as Senator to LD 21, replacing Debbie Lesko.
Rick graduated from Grace University, earning a dual Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, and Biblical Studies. Rick is in process of completing a master's degree in organizational leadership.
Rick is happily married to his wife, Lisa. They attend Christ Church of the Valley and are blessed to call Arizona their home.
