PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION OF ARIZONA; AMENDING ARTICLE IV, PART 2, SECTION 2, CONSTITUTION OF ARIZONA; RELATING TO THE qualifications for members of the legislature.

Be it resolved by the Senate of the State of Arizona, the House of Representatives concurring:

1. Article IV, part 2, section 2, Constitution of Arizona, is proposed to be amended as follows if approved by the voters and on proclamation of the Governor:

CONST2. Qualifications of members of legislature

Section 2. No person shall be a member of the Legislature unless he shall be a citizen of the United States at the time of his election, nor unless he shall be at least twenty-five years of age, and shall have been a resident of Arizona at least three years and of the county district from which he is elected at least one year before his election.CONST

2. The Secretary of State shall submit this proposition to the voters at the next general election as provided by article XXI, Constitution of Arizona.
