AMENDED
appropriation; crime victim notification fund
Purpose
Appropriates $5,000,000 from the state General Fund (state GF) in FY 2027 to the Law Enforcement Crime Victim Notification Fund (Fund).
Background

ACJC must administer the Fund and use Fund monies to expand ACJC's
automated crime victim notification system and to fund software that meets
outlined requirements, including:
1) automatically notifying the victim by email or text relating to the victim's
law enforcement crime report; 2) providing for multiagency notification to
enable an agency to automatically share the status of an incident or
investigation with an identified partner agency; and 3) providing a designated
statewide toll-free number that is available 24 hours, seven days a week. ACJC
must use Fund monies to pay for law enforcement agencies that choose to use the
automated crime victim notification system (A.R.S.
