History

The Arizona Game and Fish Commission (Commission) is responsible for establishing the rules and regulations for managing, conserving and protecting wildlife. The Commission is comprised of five members appointed by the Governor who serve five-year terms. Of the five members, not more than three members can be of the same political party and no two members may be residents of the same county. Members must be well informed about wildlife and requirements for its conservation. Commission members who attend general or specific meetings or perform official duties receive $30 for each day engaged in the service of the Commission and are paid monthly from the Arizona Game and Fish Fund (A.R.S. §§ 17-201, 17-231, 38-211, 38-611).
