A CONCURRENT MEMORIAL
Urging the congress of the united states to repeal the national voter registration act of 1993.
(TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE)
To the Congress of the United States of America:
Your memorialist respectfully represents:
Whereas, before passing the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), elections in the United States were locally run by state authorities; and
Whereas, the NVRA represents massive overreach by the federal government and impedes on a fundamental state right; and
Whereas, since passing the NVRA, election integrity has been significantly threatened and no federal recourse has successfully restored trust in our elections; and
Whereas, sponsored by Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs, H.R. 55 has been introduced in the 119th Congress and would repeal the NVRA; and
Whereas, the right to conduct elections should be fully restored to the states to protect each citizen's fundamental right to vote.
Wherefore, your memorialist, the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona, the Senate concurring, prays:
1. That the Congress of the United States enact H.R. 55 and repeal the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to restore election integrity and allow the states to have full conduct of their elections.
2. That the Secretary of State of the State of Arizona transmit copies of this Memorial to the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, the President of the United States Senate and each Member of Congress from the State of Arizona.
