AN ACT

 

REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS' services TO CONDUCT A STUDY ON VETERAN SERVICES.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Department of veterans' services; veterans services; awareness; report; delayed repeal

A. The department of veterans' services shall conduct a study to evaluate and determine the extent to which veterans in this state are aware of existing federal, state or community programs or services that are available to them.

B. On or before December 31, 2027, the department of veterans' services shall submit a report that details the findings and recommendations of the study conducted pursuant to subsection A of this section to the governor, the president of the senate and the speaker of the house of representatives. The report shall also include recommendations regarding increasing public awareness in this state for veterans' services using administrative or legislative options and increasing veteran knowledge of available programs and services.

C. This section is repealed from and after December 31, 2027.
