Fifty-Seventh Legislature, First Regular Session
AMENDED

Purpose
Sets the fee that the Department of Public Safety (DPS) may charge Arizona residents for a concealed carry weapon (CCW) application at 10 percent of the fee that is charged for nonresidents.
Background
Applications for CCW permits must be completed on a form prescribed by DPS. The applicant must submit the application to DPS with any other required documentation, two sets of fingerprints and a reasonable fee determined by the Director of DPS (Director). The current fee for an initial CCW permit application is $60 and the current fee for a renewal application is $43 (DPS).
There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state General Fund associated with this legislation.
