Overview
Modifies the powers and duties of the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) relating to certifying housing installation requirements.
History
The ADOH licenses manufactured home and factory-built building dealers, installers and manufacturers, issues installation permits for manufactured homes and/or factory-built buildings and conducts installation inspections for installation permit holders. Established within the ADOH, the Office of Manufactured Housing is responsible for maintaining and enforcing quality and safety standards for, and installation of, manufactured homes, factory-built buildings, mobile homes and accessory structures (A.R.S. § 41-4002).
Statute outlines the duties of the ADOH, including issuing a certificate to indicate compliance with the construction and installation requirements relating to manufactured housing (A.R.S. § 41-4004).
Statute outlines the duties of the 9-member Board of Manufactured Housing which includes adopting rules relating to the inspection of the installation of manufactured homes, mobile homes, factory-built buildings and accessory structures and establish and maintain licensing standards and bonding requirements for all manufacturers of manufactured homes and factory-built buildings (A.R.S. § 41-4010).
