Overview
Specifies if an entity does not provide the option to notarize documents at a physical location without charge, an individual can use the services of any notarial officer.
History
To be commissioned as a notary public in Arizona, an individual must meet certain minimum qualifications, such as being at least 18 years old, a United States citizen or permanent legal resident and have passed the required examination if required by the Secretary of State (A.R.S. § 41-269).
An entity includes a corporation, foreign corporation, not for profit corporation, profit and not for profit unincorporated association, nonprofit corporation, close corporation, corporation sole or limited liability company, a professional corporation, association or limited liability company, a business trust, estate, partnership, registered limited liability partnership, trust or joint venture, two or more persons having a joint or common economic interest, any person other than an individual and a state, the United States and a foreign government (A.R.S. § 10-140).
