amending title 16, chapter 6, article 1.2, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-918.01; relating to campaign contributions and expenses.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 16, chapter 6, article 1.2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-918.01, to read:

START_STATUTE16-918.01. Gift cards prohibited

A. a contributor shall not give and a committee shall not accept a gift card, and a gift card is an unlawful contribution.

B. A committee shall not make an expenditure on or otherwise purchase a gift card, and any expenditure on or purchase of a gift card is an unlawful expenditure and an unlawful use of a COMMITTEE'S money or other assets. END_STATUTE
