AN ACT

amending section 41-2562, arizona revised statutes; relating to procurement.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Section 41-2562, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE41-2562. Procurement; duties of the director

A. The director shall establish guidelines governing the preparation, maintenance and content of specifications for materials, services and construction required by this state. The director shall prepare, issue, revise, maintain and monitor the use of specifications for materials, services and construction required by this state.

B. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 41-2501, all procurement solicitations for volatile organic compound containing commodities shall include a request for substitute commodities with lower or no volatile organic content. Substitute products shall not have increased toxicity compared to the original commodity. END_STATUTE
