amending title 32, chapter 13, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 32-1459; amending title 32, chapter 16, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 32-1754; amending title 32, chapter 17, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 32-1862; relating to ophthalmic lens prescriptions.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 32, chapter 13, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 32-1459, to read:

START_STATUTE32-1459. Ophthalmic lenses; prescriptions

A prescription for ophthalmic lenses, other than contact lenses, is valid for two years unless otherwise specified by the prescribing physician.END_STATUTE

Sec. 2. Title 32, chapter 16, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 32-1754, to read:

START_STATUTE32-1754. Ophthalmic lenses; prescriptions

A prescription for ophthalmic lenses, other than contact lenses, is valid for two years unless otherwise specified by the prescribing optometrist.END_STATUTE

Sec. 3. Title 32, chapter 17, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 32-1862, to read:

START_STATUTE32-1862. Ophthalmic lenses; prescriptions

A prescription for ophthalmic lenses, other than contact lenses, is valid for two years unless otherwise specified by the prescribing physician.END_STATUTE
