HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2285

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:
“Section 1. Appropriation; department of transportation; freeway
interchange; Interstate 10 and Jackrabbit Trail; intent; exemption
A. The sum of $500,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2023-2024 to the department of transportation to design a freeway interchange on Interstate 10 at Jackrabbit Trail.
B. The legislature intends that the department use any federal monies available for the project described in subsection A of this section to supplement the monies appropriated in subsection A of this section.
C. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.”
