appropriating monies to the Arizona state retirement system.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Appropriation; Arizona state retirement system; employer contribution prepayment; exemption

A. The sum of $534,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund to the Arizona state retirement system to prepay this state's employers' 401(a) pension contributions pursuant to section 38-737, subsection D, Arizona Revised Statutes.

B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
