HOUSE BILL 2020

An Act

appropriating monies to the Arizona state retirement system.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Supplemental appropriation; Arizona state retirement system; employer contribution prepayment; exemption

A. In addition to any other appropriation made in fiscal year 2022-2023, the sum of $45,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2022-2023 to the Arizona state retirement system to prepay this state's employers' 401(a) pension contributions pursuant to section 38-737, subsection D, Arizona Revised Statutes.

B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
