HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2608

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:

"Section 1. Repeal

Title 36, chapter 6, article 4.2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is repealed.

Sec. 2. Title 36, chapter 6, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new article 4.2, to read:

ARTICLE 4.2. PUBLIC HEALTH MANDATES

START_STATUTE36-681. Vaccinations; masks; enforcement prohibition; violation; classification; definition

A. Any governmental entity or any person doing business in this state may not enforce on a student without parental consent or on an employee any requirement that the person receive a vaccination for COVID-19 or any variant of COVID-19 or wear a mask.

B. A person who violates this section is guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor.

C. The county attorney may prosecute any violation of this section.

D. For the purposes of this section, "governmental entity" means this state and any political subdivision of this state that receives and uses state tax revenues.END_STATUTE

Sec. 3. Short title

This act may be cited as the "Health Care Freedom Act"."
