SENATE BILL 1522

 

 

An Act

 

appropriating monies to the department of transportation.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Appropriations; department of transportation; transportation infrastructure; Maricopa county

The following sums are appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2022-2023 to the department of transportation for the following projects:

1. $6,000,000 for design work for State Route 303 improvements from Interstate 17 to Lake Pleasant Parkway, including a traffic interchange at 67th Avenue.

2. $9,000,000 for design work for the interchange at State Route 303 and Interstate 17.

3. $5,000,000 for the realignment and improvement of the traffic interchange on State Route 74 at Lake Pleasant Parkway.

4. $10,000,000 for Estrella bridge improvements.

5. $10,000,000 for grade separation and improvements at Val Vista Drive and the Union Pacific Railroad.

6. $6,000,000 for right of way acquisition for State Route 30 between State Route 303 and State Route 202.

7. $10,000,000 for design work for road widening along State Route 101 between Interstate 10 and 75th Avenue.

8. $5,000,000 for right of way acquisition for State Route 303 between Maricopa County Route 85 and Van Buren Street.

9. $8,000,000 to distribute to the regional public transportation authority established by section 48-5102, Arizona Revised Statutes, to extend fixed-route bus service along Bell Road from 75th Avenue to Reems Road for service beginning in fiscal year 2023-2024.

10. $4,000,000 to design improvements to the intersection of State Route 87 and McDowell Road.

11. $10,000,000 to design improvements to State Route 202 from Main Street-Apache Trail to Gilbert Road.
