AN ACT
Amending title 32, chapter 18, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 32-1965.01; relating to the Arizona state board of pharmacy.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 32, chapter 18, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 32-1965.01, to read:
32-1965.01. Pharmacists; refusal to fill prescription orders; unprofessional conduct
A. except as provided in section 41-1493.04, A pharmacist may not refuse to fill any valid prescription order written by any licensed health care provider. a pharmacist's refusal to fill a valid prescription order is an act of unprofessional conduct for which the pharmacist's license may be suspended.
B. Patients have the right to try therapeutic medications of their choice in conjunction with the patient's prescribing licensed health care provider, including novel treatments to address unique medical circumstances. A pharmacist may not refuse to fill a valid prescription order or impede or obstruct the delivery of medications to a patient.
