(c) Any private postsecondary institution approved by the school district governing board, charter school governing body or board of directors of the Arizona state schools for the deaf and the blind.

B. A student may not receive elective credit pursuant to subsection A of this section unless all of the following apply:

1. The student requests to receive elective credit under subsection A of this section before the beginning of the semester.

3. The school district, charter school or Arizona state schools for the deaf and the blind approves the requested activity as an elective course under subsection A of this section before the beginning of the semester.

C. A student is not eligible to earn elective credit pursuant to this section for an out-of-school experience that the student is completing as part of a course at a school district, a charter school, a career technical education district or the Arizona state schools for the deaf and the blind.

I. This section does not prohibit a school district, a charter school or the Arizona state schools for the deaf and the blind from offering other elective courses in accordance with the laws of this state.
