FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

1. Replaces the parental consent exemption, from the prohibition on a public school referring students to, or using, sexually explicit materials, for classical literature, early American literature and a required book for a course to obtain college credit, with a parental consent exemption for materials that:

a) possess serious educational value for minors; or

b) possess serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value.

2. Makes technical changes
