FLOOR
AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
1. Appropriates
$38,482,000 in FY 2023 from the State Highway Fund to ADOT to rehabilitate
pavement along U.S. Route 60 between Loop 101 and Loop 202, rather than between
Tomahawk Road and Mile Post 208.
2. Removes the
$19,327,300 appropriation to rehabilitate pavement along U.S. Route 66 between
Ashfork and Seligman.
3. Appropriates
$3,000,000 in FY 2023 from the state General Fund (GF) to the Arizona
Department of Transportation (ADOT) to improve Ruby Road bridge near Nogales.
4. Exempts the
$3,000,000 appropriation from review by the Joint Committee on Capital Review
(JCCR).
5. Appropriates
$10,000,000 in FY 2023 from the state GF to ADOT to improve State Route 97 near
Bagdad.
6. Exempts the
$10,000,000 appropriation from review by JCCR.
7. Makes conforming
changes.

2023-2024 to the department of transportation to improve State Route 97 near
Bagdad.
B. The
appropriation made in subsection A of this section reverts to the state general
fund on June 30, 2025 if the department does not secure federal funding for the
project on or before June 30, 2025.
C. Notwithstanding
section 41-1252, Arizona Revised Statutes, the appropriation made in subsection
A of this section is not subject to review by the joint committee on capital
review.
D. The
appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the
provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of
appropriations, until June 30, 2025."
