FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

· Requires the Department of Child Safety, a licensed child welfare agency or a tribal child welfare agency to provide a monthly stipend of no less than $1,200 to each child in the Independent Living Program, rather than the 150 percent of the basic daily rate provided to children in foster care between the ages of 12 and 18.
