FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
1. Appropriates $15,100,000 of Medicaid Expenditure Authority in FY 2022 to the Department of Child Safety to continue existing functionality and oversight and to claim available federal monies that will expire and revert to the federal government.
2. Exempts the appropriation from lapsing.

Page 2, between lines 7 and 8, insert:
"Sec. 2. Supplemental appropriation; department of child safety; exemption
A. In addition to any other appropriations made in fiscal year 2021-2022, the sum of $15,100,000 of expenditure authority is appropriated in fiscal year 2021-2022 to the department of child safety operating lump sum line item to continue existing functionality and oversight and to claim available federal monies that will expire and revert back to the federal government.
B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations."
