AN ACT
Amending Title 36, chapter 4, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 36-425.07; relating to health care institutions.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 36, chapter 4, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-425.07, to read:
36-425.07. Behavioral health residential facilities; outpatient clinics; children; respite; exemptions; requirements
A. A behavioral health residential facility or an outpatient clinic may provide respite care to a child for increments of fewer than five consecutive days and not more than twelve days in a ninety day period without a medical history and physical examination and for those children receiving only respite services is exempt from all of the following licensure requirements in relation to the child's respite stay:
1. Providing Counseling services.
2. Providing a discharge order and summary.
3. Providing medication information to a child for whom medication assistance is required.
4. Requirements for a review of a child's MEDICATION regime by a medical PRACTITIONER.
5. Preparing and posting a food menu more than twenty four hours in advance of food service.
6. Tuberculosis screening of the child.
B. The respite care provider shall be given a list of the child's medications and allergies and emergency contact information on the child's arrival.
