AN ACT

amending title 16, chapter 1, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-133; relating to QUALIFICATION and registration of electors.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 16, chapter 1, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-133, to read:

START_STATUTE16-133. Same day voter registration prohibited; violation; classification

An agency, department or division of this state or any person acting on its BEHALF and any political subdivision of this state or any person acting on its behalf may not register a person to vote on an election day and deem that person eligible to vote in that election. Any person who violates this section is guilty of a class 6 felony. END_STATUTE
