FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
1. Appropriates $200,000 from the state General Fund starting in FY 2023 and each subsequent fiscal year to the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) to manage access and protect student level data.
2. Requires ADE, by December 31, to annually report to the Joint Legislative Budget Committee the use of the appropriated monies.
3. Makes conforming changes.

Page 2, after line 33, insert:
"E. The sum of $200,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2022-2023 and each fiscal year thereafter to the department of education to adopt policies and procedures to manage access and protect student level data as prescribed in this section.
F. On or before December 31 of each year, the department of education shall report to the joint legislative budget committee on how the monies are being used to manage access and protect student level data as prescribed in this section."
