Overview

Requires the State and its political subdivisions to accept a consular identification card as a valid form of identification.

History

Currently, the State and any state political subdivision is prohibited from accepting a consular identification card that is issued by a foreign government as a valid form of identification (A.R.S § 41-5001).

Provisions

1.   Mandates that the State and its political subdivisions accept a consular identification card as a valid form of identification, provided the issuing foreign government uses biometric identity verification techniques.
