Overview

Establishes June 27th of every year as post-traumatic stress injury day.

History

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health disorder that some people develop after they experience or see a traumatic event. The traumatic event may be life-threatening, such as combat, a natural disaster or a car accident. Post-traumatic stress injury (PTSI) refers to the same set of symptoms, but refers to a biological injury.

Provisions

1.   Establishes June 27th of every year as post-traumatic stress injury day. (Sec. 1)
