SENATE AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2565

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:
"Section 1. Appropriation; housing trust fund; review
The sum of $5,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2021-2022 to the housing trust fund established by section 41-3955, Arizona Revised Statutes. The Arizona department of housing shall use the monies appropriated by this section to award grants pursuant to title 41, chapter 24, Arizona Revised Statutes, for mortgage down payment assistance, services for homeless youth and families and emergency shelter beds. Before awarding any grants pursuant to this section, the department shall submit an expenditure plan for review by the joint legislative budget committee."
