AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
Expands the Arizona Promise Program to allow
community colleges in this state to participate.
Restores STEM and workforce program funding for
community colleges in Maricopa and Pima County.
Restores operating funding for community
colleges in Maricopa and Pima County.
In addition to any other appropriations made in
fiscal year 2021 2022, $10,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund
in fiscal year 2021-2022 to the Department of Education to distribute to
community colleges in this state for the community college costs of the Arizona
promise program.
Appropriates $5,000,000 from the state general
fund in fiscal year 2021-2022 to the Governor's Office on Tribal Relations to
distribute to the Diné College Board of Regents to construct a student center.

Arizona Revised Statutes, to distribute to the Diné college board of regents to
construct a student center.
Sec. 15. Appropriation; Arizona board of regents; Arizona promise program;
community colleges; intent
A. In
addition to any other appropriations made in fiscal year 2021-2022, the
sum of $10,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year
2021-2022 to the Department of Education to distribute to community colleges in
this state for the community college costs of the Arizona promise program.
B. The
legislature intends that the appropriation in subsection A of this section be
considered ongoing funding in future years."
