AN ACT
amending Title 23, chapter 4, article 6, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 23-772.01; relating to employment security.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 23, chapter 4, article 6, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 23-772.01, to read:
23-772.01. Notification required; fraud; decision
Notwithstanding any other law:
1. If a claimant's application for benefits is flagged for or otherwise suspected of fraud, the department shall notify the claimant within ten days after the application is flagged for or suspected of fraud.
2. The department shall notify a claimant whether the claimant is eligible for benefits under this chapter not more than twenty-one days after the claimant files an application for benefits. If the department does not notify a claimant within twenty-one days, the claimant's application for benefits is deemed approved.
