FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

1. Increases, effective January 1, 2023, the salary of a clerk of the superior court from:

a) $76,600 to $96,600, rather than from $76,600 to $78,132, in a county with a population of 500,000 or more persons; and

b) $63,800 to $83,800, rather than from $63,800 to $65,076, in a county with a population of fewer than 500,000 persons.

2. Removes the requirement that the salary of a clerk of the superior court increase by two percent annually beginning in 2024.

3. Makes a technical change.
