AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
·
Removes
the annual floor of 3,500 inmates to be released to the prison transition program.
·
Removes
the one-month notice requirement for being released from the Department of
Corrections.
·
Makes
persons eligible for the transition program if they have committed assault, aggravated
assault, robbery or domestic violence.
·
Makes
the transition program eligibility changes effective October 1, 2021.
