AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
1. Specifies that a fee
paid to a referral agency must be disclosed, if determined, and a good faith
estimate must be disclosed if the fee is undetermined.
2. Decreases, from 18 to
12 months, the timeframe in which a referral agency is entitled to a fee after
receiving a resident’s notice of termination of services.
3. Adds that a referral
agency is entitled to a fee after receiving a resident’s notice of termination
of services if the agency provides the facility or home documentation that the
resident communicated with the agency prior to admission.
4. Makes technical and
conforming changes.
