appropriation; unreimbursed wildland suppression activities
Purpose
Appropriates $39,600 from the state General Fund (state GF) in FY 2021 to the Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) to reimburse the Mescal-J6 Fire District for wildland suppression activities preformed in 2017.
Background
DFFM provides for land management and the prevention and suppression of wildland fires on state land and private property located outside of cities and towns (A.R.S. § 37-1301).
The Mescal J6 Fire District covers an area of 14.5 square miles in western Cochise County along Interstate 10 (Cochise County Special Tax District Maps).
H.B. 2102 appropriates $39,600 from the state GF in FY 2021 to DFFM.
Provisions
1. Appropriates $39,600 from the state GF in FY 2021 to DFFM to reimburse the Mescal-J6 Fire District for wildland suppression activities preformed in cooperation with DFFM in 2017.
2. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
