History

Section 779 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2018 granted $600 million to the Secretary of Agriculture to conduct a new broadband loan and grant pilot program. The purpose of the Rural E-connectivity Pilot Program is to expand rural broadband infrastructure in unserved rural areas and tribal lands.

Provisions

1.       Allows persons eligible to apply for the Rural E-connectivity Pilot Program to request that the ACA review their application for accuracy. (Sec. 1)

2.       Prohibits the ACA from denying an applicant's request to review. (Sec. 1)
