AN ACT

 

appropriating monies to the state department of corrections.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriation; state department of corrections; second chance centers; exemption

A.  The sum of $4,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2019-2020 to the state department of corrections for costs related to the operation and expansion of second chance centers that provide prerelease services and training to inmates in this state.

B.  The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
