Page 1, between lines 16 and 17, insert:
"D. If the recess periods required by this section would require supervision by certificated teachers or administrators at a school site, a school district may offer one recess period per day if the school district governing board determines the district does not have sufficient certificated teachers or administrators available at a school site to provide for safe supervision of an additional recess period."
