AN ACT
amending title 44, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding chapter 37; relating to satellite television.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 44, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding chapter 37, to read:

SATELLITE TELEVISION
ARTICLE 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
44-7901. Contracts; automatic renewal; notification
If a contract between a satellite television service provider and a customer automatically renews without customer action when the contract expires, the satellite television service provider must notify the customer in writing at least thirty days before the contract expires. The notification shall clearly state the contract expiration date and that the contract automatically renews unless, before the contract expiration date, the customer notifies the satellite television service provider not to renew the contract.
