"Sec. 6.  Conditional enactment

Section 15-2401, Arizona Revised Statutes, as amended by Laws 2017, chapter 139, section 1 and this act, is effective only if Laws 2017, chapter 139, the subject of referendum petition R-02-2018, is approved by a vote of the people at the next general election or fails to be referred to the voters at the next general election."
