Robert Rene "Bob" Robles, beloved sergeant at arms of the Arizona House of Representatives, passed away on September 7, 2017.

Born on January 18, 1954, in Phoenix, Arizona, Bob Robles attended St. Mary's High School.  Following his graduation in 1972, he served in the United States Air Force as a fire captain on a crash rescue truck from August 1972 until he was honorably discharged in June 1974.  Bob earned an associate degree in fire sciences from Phoenix College and went on to admirably serve in the Phoenix Fire Department as a firefighter for more than 20 years.

In 2008, Bob Robles began working for the Arizona House of Representatives as a security guard and, in 2012, was promoted to night security supervisor.  A year later, he became the chief of security and, in 2017, he was appointed Sergeant at Arms for the chamber.

Bob Robles welcomed members, staff and visitors alike to the Arizona House of Representatives with his special laugh, generous spirit and caring heart.  In all his public service endeavors, Bob Robles distinguished himself as a principled and capable individual, and he earned the well-deserved respect of all who had the privilege of working with him over the years.

Dedicated to his family, Bob Robles is survived by his loving wife, Irene, their seven children, Andre, Danielle, Andrea, Raul, Bobby, Angela and Desiree, their 19 grandchildren, his sisters, Norma, Christine, Ofelia, Becky and Dianna, his brother, Joe, and his numerous nieces and nephews.  He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends and the people of the State of Arizona.

Therefore

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona:

That the members of the House of Representatives sincerely regret the passing of their dear friend and colleague Robert Robles and extend their deepest sympathies to his family and many friends.
