House Ad Hoc on Aspects of Contact Lens Market

PURPOSE:     To study the contact lens industry in Arizona, including pricing and patient health and any incentives offered.

House              Three members of the House of Representatives, not more than two from the same political party, appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, with one appointed to serve as Chair.

Ms. Michelle Ahlmer, Arizona Retailers Association

                        An ophthalmologist from Arizona Ophthalmological Society appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Dr. Daniel Briceland

                        A representative of a Contact Lens Manufacturer appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Mr. Jeff Buel, Johnson & Johnson

                        An optometrist from AZ Optometric Association appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Dr. Annette Hanian

                        A representative from the Goldwater Institute.

Mr. Michael Hunter, Goldwater Institute

                        A representative of an online contact lens retailer appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Mr. Jay Magure, 1800CONTACTS

                        A representative from a "Big Box" contact lens retailer appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Mr. Art Salas, Costco Wholesale

                        A representative of a Consumer Advocate's Association appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
