HB 2825 theft of means of transportation
Purpose (For more information see Fact Sheet): Expands the number of inferences giving rise to knowledge of or participation in theft of means of transportation (vehicle theft) and requires that persons sentenced to probation for a first conviction of vehicle theft serve mandatory jail time. Requires a person who alleges vehicle theft to submit a signed affidavit or notarized statement to the local law enforcement agency.
