Purpose (For more information see Fact Sheet): Permits licensed optometrists to prescribe, dispense and administer oral macrolides and oral antiviral medication. Requires the optometrist to refer a patient treated with oral antiviral medication to a primary care physician if the condition does not improve within 72 hours. Prohibits an optometrist from treating patients under six years of age with oral macrolides or oral antivirals.

Purpose (For more information see Fact Sheet): Requires child care providers to pay licensure and certificate fees annually, rather than once every three years, to the Department of Health Services. Allows fees to be paid by installment. Requires DHS to adjust fees if collected amounts are significantly higher than the costs of administering licensure. Requires DHS to conduct a study and submit a report that identifies administrative costs and assesses the efficiency of current child care licensing regulation.
