Ray grew up in the Marcos De Niza public housing projects and put himself through school, achieving a graduate degree in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Ray is the proud father of three children who grew up in the Granada neighborhood in Legislative District 30. He is actively improving the educational system in Arizona as a founding member of the Arizona Latino School Board Association and a governing board member of the Alhambra Elementary School District.
